When I lived in the Caribbean in the 70s I learned how to quarter it whole--into wedges, cut it long wise just under the core, top, bottom and around--reach into the portion inside and cut that into small wedge, push part way out every other one and rest a maraschino cherry on the ledge of every other piece. Gorgeous and impressive!Sylvia Dickey Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06665990701980727149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4556497583485018974.post-42214130051277559702010-07-19T15:40:05.602-05:002010-07-19T15:40:05.602-05:00I love to eat it rawy when fully ripe, cut and sco...I love to eat it rawy when fully ripe, cut and scoop the flesh out, then save some of the meat to blend up with some rum and pour it back in the shell and drink it on a hot summer eve ... yumm! The Old Sillyhttp://theoldsilly.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4556497583485018974.post-62471335342109022192010-07-19T14:20:18.385-05:002010-07-19T14:20:18.385-05:00Same here, on both counts.
